Foster Youth Find Their Voice: FAU High School’s Gabi Quintero Hosts Virtual Poetry Workshop

Gabi Quintero From FAU University Gabi Quintero from FAU University continued to make a difference this summer by hosting her second event, the Poetry Writing Workshop, where she worked with a small group of three students. The participants not only gained confidence in writing sonnets, odes, and other forms of poetry, but also left feeling more valued and supported by their community.

Gabi’s workshops highlight the role of student advocacy in fostering both academic growth and a sense of belonging. Her leadership demonstrates how creative opportunities can empower students and strengthen community ties.
