Impacting Everyday Challenges Facing Foster Kids and Parents

Trauma. Self-Worth. Insecurity. Anxiety. Stress. Emotions no child should ever have to experience. No matter what their circumstance.  Yet, in America, over 400,00 foster kids deal with one or more of these emotions every day. Former foster kids are two and a half times more likely to suffer from PTSD than veterans. A third of all foster kids move to a different home three times per year. To call this Traumatic is a gross understatement.

That’s where we come in. Speak Up for Kids of Palm Beach is a highly rated non-profit organization dedicated to mitigating the trauma and cultivating the self-worth of kids living in foster care.

We create meaningful initiatives impacting everyday emotional challenges facing foster kids AND parents.

  • Two women sitting outdoors near water, engaged in conversation. One woman with blonde hair and glasses, wearing a white jacket and black pants. The other woman with braided hair, wearing a denim jacket and blue pants. Green trees and water in the background.

    Counseling

Kids who need support after their abuse or neglect by no fault of their own.

  • Two women sharing a moment outside, one holding a garment with ornate gold embellishments and the other smiling. They are standing near green bushes and a sidewalk in a sunny area.

    Normalcy

Kids who crave normalcy such as luggage instead of a trash bag or clothes that do not remind them of their abuse.
