Painting Possibilities: Dreyfoos Jaguars Provide Art Supplies for Students in Need

Brooke Meixner and the Dreyfoos Jaguars Chapter put their artistic passion into action by creating and donating LEAAP Art Supplies Baskets to support students in need.

With at least 20 baskets assembled, each one was thoughtfully packed with a variety of supplies, including dance shoes, coloring and drawing materials, notebooks, and more. These baskets were designed to encourage creativity, self-expression, and access to the arts for students who may not have the resources to pursue their artistic interests.

Why This Matters

Art plays a vital role in education, providing students with an outlet for creativity, emotional expression, and personal growth. However, not all students have access to the supplies they need to explore their talents. By putting together these LEAAP Art Supplies Baskets, Brooke and the Dreyfoos Jaguars Chapter helped ensure that more students can participate in the arts and develop their creative potential.

How You Can Help

At STUDENTS Speak Up for Kids, we believe that access to the arts should be available to all children. Here’s how you can contribute:

  • Donate art supplies, dance shoes, and notebooks to programs supporting young artists.

  • Organize an art supplies drive to provide materials for students in need.

  • Join or start a chapter to lead service projects that promote access to the arts.

Thank you to Brooke Meixner and the Dreyfoos Jaguars Chapter for their dedication to supporting creativity and making a lasting impact on students through the LEAAP Art Supplies Baskets.

Share this story to inspire others to support arts education and provide opportunities for young artists.
