FAU Owls Promote Sustainability & Community Giving with Clothing Swap Event

A huge shoutout to Ava Mansman and Sachiel Neree, along with the dedicated members of the FAU Owls Chapter of STUDENTS Speak Up for Kids, for organizing a successful Clothing Swap event that combined sustainability, community service, and fundraising for a great cause!

In collaboration with the FAU Community Service Club and SEEDS, the Owls brought students together to exchange gently used clothing, giving items a second life while promoting eco-friendly fashion choices. The event not only encouraged sustainability but also made clothing more accessible to students in need.

To further support their mission, the chapter held a raffle fundraiser, with proceeds going toward initiatives that benefit children in need. This creative approach to fundraising and giving back highlights the power of collaboration, leadership, and student-driven impact.

Why This Matters

Thank you FAU Owls!

Events like these reduce waste, promote affordability, and strengthen community connections—all while supporting a cause that makes a difference in children’s lives. The FAU Owls have shown how small initiatives can create a big impact by blending service, sustainability, and fundraising into one meaningful event.

At STUDENTS Speak Up for Kids, we encourage young leaders to think creatively about how they can make a difference. Whether it’s through sustainability efforts, fundraising, or hands-on volunteer work, every effort counts!
