West Boca Bulls Reach More Than 100 With Social Media Campaign!

Students in the West Boca Bulls chapter of Students Speak Up For Kids, led by chapter leader Alexa Mushlin, got together to start a social media account and campaign to bring awareness to the challenges foster youth face every day. The goal of this campaign was to make people see that foster kids often suffer from abuse, neglect, and violence, which often forces them into lives of crime just to be able to protect themselves. This is truly a problem that must be brought attention to, and this social media campaign was the first step to a major impact.

This youth advocacy in foster care truly brought to light what the system wants to keep under covers. These students’ project will have a lasting impact on the lives of foster youth and will ensure that more people advocate for their cause.
