45,000 Walkers. One Powerful Mission.
BAPS Charities Brings Its Annual Walk/Run to South Florida on May 31 to Support Foster Youth and Strengthen Community Impact
BOCA RATON, FL — Every year, tens of thousands of people across North America come together on a single day to take action for their communities. On May 31, 2026, South Florida will join that movement as BAPS Charities hosts its annual Walk/Run at the Mary Lou Berger Pavilion in Burt Aaronson South County Regional Park. The event is part of a coordinated national initiative expected to unite more than 45,000 participants across over 100 cities.
This year’s South Florida walk will raise funds for BAPS Charities while also supporting Speak Up for Kids of Palm Beach County as the event’s local beneficiary. Together, the two organizations are working to strengthen the community and improve the lives of children in foster care through service, advocacy, and meaningful support.
BAPS Charities is known globally for its commitment to selfless service through humanitarian initiatives focused on health, education, disaster relief, and environmental sustainability. Through events like the annual Walk/Run, the organization mobilizes communities to create tangible impact both locally and around the world.
Speak Up for Kids of Palm Beach County shares a complementary mission focused on transforming the lives of children in the foster care system. The organization works to mitigate trauma and cultivate self-worth for youth in foster care, striving toward a future where every child experiences stability, opportunity, and a strong sense of belonging.
By partnering with Speak Up for Kids, the BAPS Charities Walk/Run in South Florida highlights a shared commitment: strengthening communities by uplifting their most vulnerable members. The collaboration reflects a powerful intersection of humanitarian service and local advocacy—mobilizing volunteers, families, and organizations to support children and families across Palm Beach County.
“Community partnerships are essential to creating lasting change,” organizers shared. “By bringing people together through this walk, we are not only supporting global humanitarian efforts but also investing in the futures of children right here in our community.”
