Hope, Healing, and Support: Calvary Lions Organize Suicide Prevention Workshop
Franco Ruocco and the Calvary Lions Chapter of STUDENTS Speak Up for Kids, in collaboration with the Jason Foundation, organized a teen mental health and suicide prevention workshop to raise awareness and provide valuable resources, while also hosting a donation drive that collected an estimated $2,000 worth of essential items for children in foster care.

Jocelyn took center stage at Battle of the Bands by setting up an interactive table to support STUDENTS Speak Up for Kids, raising over $250 while recruiting band teachers for the Music Buddies program, which connects students with valuable music mentorship opportunities and ensures more young musicians can learn, grow, and develop their passion for music.

Akayla Peart, along with volunteers Karmiah S. and Arianna O., assembled teen self-care bags filled with toiletries, body care products, a journal, a self-care book, stickers, and candy to promote mental well-being and encourage teens to practice self-love, reflection, and emotional wellness.

Franco Ruocco and the Calvary Lions Chapter of STUDENTS Speak Up for Kids created the Storytime Project, pairing virtual bedtime story readings with donated teddy bears and personalized poems to provide children in need with comfort, imagination, and a sense of security.
