Hot Cocoa, Plushies, and Holiday Magic: Spanish River Sharks Deliver Festive Gift Boxes

Sofia Scher and the Spanish River Sharks Chapter of STUDENTS Speak Up for Kids made the holiday season extra special by creating and distributing festive holiday gift boxes at Winterfest.

With the help of more than thirty student volunteers, the chapter carefully curated each box to spread warmth and joy. Every holiday gift box included a make-your-own hot chocolate bomb (with instructions), a cute holiday plushie, fun holiday-themed snacks, a gift card, and a personalized holiday card. These thoughtful gifts were shared with everyone at Winterfest, ensuring that all attendees felt the magic of the season.

Why This Matters

The holiday season is about giving, connection, and creating special moments. These festive gift boxes provided a fun, hands-on experience with the hot chocolate bomb kit while also offering a mix of treats and gifts that made the celebration even more memorable. By organizing this project, the Spanish River Sharks helped make Winterfest an event filled with warmth, generosity, and holiday spirit.

How You Can Help

At STUDENTS Speak Up for Kids, we believe that small gestures of kindness can have a big impact. Here’s how you can get involved:

  • Donate holiday treats, plushies, or small gifts to support similar initiatives.

  • Organize a gift box project to spread joy in your community.

  • Join or start a chapter to lead service projects that bring happiness to children and families.
