Spanish River Sharks Make Thanksgiving Sweeter with Festive Goodie Bags

Sofia Scher and the Spanish River Sharks Chapter of STUDENTS Speak Up for Kids helped make Thanksgiving extra special by creating 70 festive goodie bags filled with fun treats and thoughtful surprises.

Each bag included a popcorn and candy corn turkey, a maze, a holiday card, and extra goodies, bringing smiles and holiday joy to children. These creative and engaging gifts were a small but meaningful way to spread kindness and brighten the season for those who received them.

Why This Matters

Thanksgiving is a time for gratitude and togetherness, and even small gestures can make a big impact. A simple goodie bag can bring happiness, excitement, and a sense of belonging to a child who may need a little extra holiday cheer. By organizing this project, the Spanish River Sharks helped remind children that they are cared for and appreciated.

How You Can Help

At STUDENTS Speak Up for Kids, we believe that spreading kindness strengthens our communities and brings joy to those who need it most. Here’s how you can get involved:

  • Donate holiday treats or small gifts to support similar projects.

  • Volunteer to assemble or distribute goodie bags for children in need.

  • Join or start a chapter to lead service projects that bring warmth and happiness to others.

Thank you to Sofia Scher and the Spanish River Sharks for sharing the spirit of giving through their Thanksgiving goodie bag initiative.

Share this story to inspire others to give back and help spread kindness this holiday season.
