Spanish River Sharks Gift 30 Foster Kids Birthday Boxes!

The students part from the Spanish River Community High School Chapter of Students Speak Up For Kids got together to change the way foster youth see birthdays. Sofia Scher, the chapter leader, launched a foster care support initiative through our Gift-A-Birthday program, to gift foster kids who would usually not celebrate their birthdays with goodie boxes. This initiative not only allowed foster youth to receive gifts and feel loved, but also created advocacy so that foster youth may be able to celebrate more birthdays in the future.

These student truly made an impact with these 30 impact boxes and their efforts will never be forgotten.
