Acrobatics and Balloon Animals
The Calvary Eagles Chapter of STUDENTS Speak Up for Kids partnered with Florida Children’s Theatre Circus Troupe to create a magical experience at Storybook Village. The Circus Troupe performed acrobatics, dancing, and singing, while the Calvary Eagles crafted balloon animals and painted faces! Their collective effort created unforgettable memories for foster kids, reinforcing their sense of being valued and cared for. Hope, Healing, and Support: Calvary Lions Organize Suicide Prevention Workshop
Franco Ruocco and the Calvary Lions Chapter of STUDENTS Speak Up for Kids, in collaboration with the Jason Foundation, organized a teen mental health and suicide prevention workshop to raise awareness and provide valuable resources, while also hosting a donation drive that collected an estimated $2,000 worth of essential items for children in foster care.
Bringing Stories to Life: Calvary Lions Deliver Teddy Bears and Virtual Bedtime Stories
Franco Ruocco and the Calvary Lions Chapter of STUDENTS Speak Up for Kids created the Storytime Project, pairing virtual bedtime story readings with donated teddy bears and personalized poems to provide children in need with comfort, imagination, and a sense of security.
