Provide Normalcy for Foster Kids Returning To School
Impact the lives of foster children during back-to-school festivities in Palm Beach County, FL! Autumn represents an exciting time of year for almost all kids. The start of a new school year means children get to see their teachers and friends again. However, for the nearly 700 kids who remain without a permanent home, the new school year can create anxiety and feelings of inadequacy.
How You Can Help
At Speak Up for Kids, we support Palm Beach County’s Guardian ad Litem Program through donated items and funds, volunteered time, enrollment of new foster parents, and more. Our team firmly believes in 100% advocacy for all children until they reach adulthood. To decrease criminality and drug use among the state’s most marginalized children, complete integration of Palm Beach County’s foster children remains one of our primary goals.
You can give foster kids a headstart on the new school year in a variety of ways. Below, discover some of the things you can do to help foster kids fit in and thrive:
Donate new backpacks, shoes, and school supplies
