West Boca High School STUDENTS Create Holiday Impact: Bulls Chapter Reaches 60 Foster Youth Through Operation: Toy Drive
Why It Matters
The holidays can be especially difficult for youth in foster care, particularly those nearing adulthood and aging out of the system. Projects like this provide more than gifts—they provide moments of joy, recognition, and connection.
By collecting 65 toys and engaging 50 students, this project brought holiday joy to approximately 60 foster youth while also building awareness, empathy, and leadership among participating students.
Annabella Gonzales shared that this experience reminded her of the true meaning of the holidays, giving back and sharing love. One of the most meaningful moments was seeing students fully invested in the project, putting genuine effort into creating something meaningful for others.
Another powerful moment came during delivery, when the volume of donations made the impact real: seeing all the toys together highlighted just how many children would benefit.
