FAU University STUDENTS Take Action: Owls Chapter Collects 50+ Toys for Foster Youth

Why It Matters

For many youth in foster care, the holidays can highlight financial challenges and lack of stability. Access to gifts and celebrations is not always guaranteed. This project helped change that.

By collecting over 50 toys, FAU students helped provide foster youth with the opportunity to experience the joy of the holidays, while also raising awareness about the challenges foster youth face.
Ava Mansman emphasized the importance of understanding what foster youth go through and how meaningful it is when communities come together to support them. One of the most impactful parts of the project was seeing people willingly contribute, demonstrating a shared commitment to helping others.
This effort not only provided tangible support but also strengthened empathy, leadership, and awareness among participating students.
