Foster Parents Make a Difference for Kids in Palm Beach County
Many children need to be placed in care while their family members address issues at home. Others need the placement to protect them from abuse and neglect. Whatever the reason, opening your heart and home to help a child in need is a heroic thing.
Now more than ever, children in Palm Beach County need foster parents urgently. As of July 2021, over 1,600 children of all ages were placed under Department of Children and Families (DCF) supervision. Currently, nearly 120 displaced children need a place to call home.
Building Bridges with #FosterPalmBeach
#FosterPalmBeach, a Speak Up for Kids PBC program, is doing its part to inform, educate, and recruit new foster parents. Foster parents step up and step in for birth parents, providing for each child’s physical, educational, and developmental needs.
We also work closely with DCF and local agencies to help children receive mental health care and therapies to help them heal. Recruiting foster parents, supporting families, and giving kids the resources they need costs money.
Your donations help foster children restore a sense of normalcy in their life. Without our support, these children can move between shelters with their belongings in trash bags. Your donations help us provide stability, security, and loving homes for these kids.
#FosterPalmBeach builds bridges between children and the foster parents they need, and the need is urgent. We are always recruiting new foster parents to help guide children toward a future filled with support, friendship, and care. We want every child to have a safe home and caring foster parents.
