Current Scholarships

Contributed by Speak Up for Kids Student Intern Team — This article was developed through the combined efforts of multiple student interns, each bringing unique skills and perspectives to support life skills education for foster youth.

Current Available Scholarships

Below scholarships are from the 2025-2026 school year.

Check out our article on things to know when seeking scholarships. We hope this article helps you since, sometimes, applying for scholarships can be a daunting process.

Foster Youth Specific Scholarships:

• National Foster Parent Association - Deadline: April 1st, 2026

  • Must be a graduating high school senior or current higher education student who is currently or formerly in foster/adoptive care

  • Applicant must have a parent, or other supportive adult, that is a member of the NFPA. They can join at https://nfpaonline.org/membership

• Comfort Cases Scott Isaacson Scholarship - Deadline: TBA

  • Must be a graduating high school senior or current higher education student who is currently or formerly in foster care

General Scholarships

• Golden Bell Education Foundations “Young Entrepreneurs Academy (YEA!)”

  • For students in grades 6-12 (https://yeausa.org/)

• Alliance of Women Executives

  • Must be a FEMALE graduating high school senior in Palm Beach County 

  • Must plan to attend FAU, Lynn University, Palm Beach Atlantic, or Palm Beach State

• Dreyfoos School of the Arts Foundation Scholarships - Deadline: February 22nd, 2026

• National Merit Scholarship

  • Merit-based scholarship that students who score well on the PSAT/NMSQT may be eligible for.

  • Taking the PSAT/NMSQT would be the first step in qualifying for this scholarship. See more on the PSAT here.

• JM Rubin Foundation - Deadline: March 1st, 2026

  • Must be a US citizen & resident of Palm Beach County, FL

• Through the Game of Golf - Deadline: April 15th, 2026

• Bright Futures Scholarships

  • Different merit-based scholarships

• GFWC PBG Women’s Club - Deadline: March 31st, 2026

• Must be attending a Florida institution

• Classroom Teachers Association- Retired - Deadline: TBA

• Application not on the website but can Email Chair to find out details 

• Royal Poinciana Chapel:

• Community Foundation for Martin & Palm Beach Counties - Deadline: March 4th, 2026

• Maximum: $2,500 annually for 4 years ($10,000 total)

• Eda and Cliff Viner - Deadline is March 8, 2026

  • 4-Year Scholarship and Technical College Scholarship
