Magic in Every Hand: Warriors Spark Imagination with Wand Making

Shoutout to Maryam and the Jupiter High Warriors Chapter of STUDENTS Speak Up for Kids

At this year’s Storybook Village, Maryam and the Jupiter High Warriors invited children into the magical world of Harry Potter with a creative and enchanting wand-making station. With glitter, glue, and plenty of imagination, more than 200 children crafted their very own wizard wands, each one as unique and magical as its maker.

The table buzzed with excitement as young visitors selected materials and brought their creations to life. From sparkly handles to swirling colors, the activity gave children the chance to play, create, and connect with one of the most beloved stories of all time.

Why This Matters

Opportunities to explore fantasy and self-expression can be powerful for children, especially those in foster care. This hands-on activity not only encouraged creativity but also reminded every child that they have magic inside them, courage, imagination, and the power to dream big.

Maryam and the Warriors created a space where stories came alive and kids walked away with more than a craft; they left feeling seen, inspired, and empowered.
