A GAL - A Second Mother

A GAL - A Second Mother

I can remember the first time I met my GAL. I think I was nine or ten years old. She has been through a lot with me and she never quit like some partners do.

My GAL is like my second mother. I never went a day without talking with her. I can remember the first time I ran away from the group home. My GAL laid into me, but she was still there to walk me through whatever my problem was.

She is the best mother that I wish I had.

When I ran away for the last time and was gone for a month or so, she got me to turn myself in and deal with the problem.

To this day, I see where she wants me to be. Thank you Guardian ad Litem. I know you will always help kids in need.
